Drama Club

“We must all do theatre to find out who we are, and to discover who we could become” Augusto Boal

T-Club’s mission is to provide drama and theater training and positive mentor relationships to IBU students throughout each step of their journey on campus.

Founded in 2017, T-Club is a student organization that provides acting challenges to all IBU individuals. Since the club exclusively works on specific production, potential members will be devoting themselves to rehearsals and performances most of the time. No experience is necessary, just a desire to have fun and be a part of a great production.

T-Club classes and performance opportunities build leadership skills in students by teaching them the following:

  • collaborative problem solving
  • working as a team
  • flexibility
  • resilience
  • communication
  • group decision-making

All the games, improvisation, listening and responding, and story building that happens in T-Club classes develops leadership skills that change students in profound ways.

T-Club is committed to providing IBU’s students opportunity to laugh, play, and cultivate life skills through drama and theatre.

NOTE 1: At the English Language and Literature Department of IBU, you do not need to be a performing arts major to join the T-Club. However, auditions might be required if you are hoping for a role in one of the groups performances.

NOTE 2: Acting is not the only way for you to get involved with T-Club. You can work on set and costume design, makeup, music, sound and lighting. Each of these areas are just as integral to the success of a production as the acting itself.

The T-Club is run by students under the direction of a faculty advisor and is open to everyone including all IBU members.
