IBU Students Visit to Istanbul

International Burch University (IBU) Faculty of Economics Management Department from 20th to 25th of April have organized trip to Istanbul for 10 graduate students of the department.  This trip was excellent opportunity to show the real world business applications which have been studied in the lectures for the past three years, together with introducing Turkish culture and history.


During few days of the visit to Turkey, beside professional meetings, students had wide range of interesting activities and sightseeing of historical places such as Blue Mosque, Topkapi Museum, and they got information about the history and current social life of Turkey.


In order to support theoretical knowledge and see how the practice works, visits to different field companies’ were inspiring for the students. One of such visits was to daily paper with circulation over 1,000,000 prints. Students have been informed about the stages in publishing and the departments and they also had a meeting with IT management department and been furnished with different IT management applications and ideas.


Students also had an opportunity to visit one IT company and a hospital, where they had a meeting with marketing department and got information about the various marketing strategies and functioning of the HR department.


At the end IBU Management students and their professors had a meeting with representatives of Turkish businessmen organization TUSKON where they gave their ideas during discussion on the collaboration possibilities between Bosnian and Turkish companies.
