The ELL Department of Burch University held an Orientation Day for the new 2016/2017 Academic Year.
Teaching staff at English Language and Literature Department led by Assist. Prof. Dr. Senad Bećirović organized October 5, 2016 an Orientation Day for the freshmen students.
In a friendly atmosphere, the students were introduced to the Department's professors and assistants and received the information on what to expect from their courses and instructors.
The members of the Linguistics Club presented their program for this academic year and invited students to join. In an open dialogue, the members of the club and freshmen students talked about their visions and ideas for the club.
Members of the Linguistics Club encouraged students to join and use the opportunity to contribute to the Department by learning about linguistics, participating in debates and quizzes, and by staging a play of their own choice. Freshmen expressed genuine interest in the activities of the club and presented their own ideas in front of the teaching staff and the current members.
In the closing part of the Orientation Day, the freshmen had the opportunity to be introduced closely to the staff and their new colleagues, which helped the group become more familiar with the new environment. Finally, a group photograph was taken which marked the end of the Orientation Day.
