Department of English Language and Literature warmly hosted third-grade students from the Sarajevo High School of Agriculture on Monday. The students were escorted to IBU by their EFL teacher Amela Suljić-Puškar and kindly welcomed by Assist. Prof. Amna Čeljo-Brdarević and teaching assistants, Esma Latić and Mersad Dervić.
The students expressed their gratitude for the hospitality they experienced at IBU. The students had a chance to visit IBU premises such as classrooms, amphitheaters, workshops and laboratories. After that, all students gathered in one of the classrooms and were given a brief introduction to ELL department and its former and current activities. Our ELL freshmen students also talked to our visitors about their recent experiences at the campus. It seemed that the stories made our guests feel even more comfortable. The visiting students were then divided into two groups, together with ELL students, and were given an opportunity to enjoy and have fun in several interesting activities with some snacks and drinks.
We would like to use this opportunity and express gratitude to our guests for taking the time to come around IBU. All ELL students and academic staff are looking forward to new gatherings of this nature with many other high schools.
