Understanding the intricacies of collaborative translation with prof. Joann Trzeciak Huss

Prof. Joann Trzeciak Huss from Kent University, an expert in translation theory, gender studies, race, literary translation, and world literature, visited the English department of Faculty of Education and Humanities at International Burch University as a guest lecturer to speak about collaborative translation in the age of machine translation. Guiding us through some of the modern notions in collaborative translation as well as approaches she relied on as a researcher in the field, prof. Huss aroused interest and later questions among the audience about this, for some of them, new and unexplored area. In an interactive session with the students, prof. Huss also discussed some of her personal views on the role of translator in terms of trust, ethics and their reflection in readership.

As a sign of appreciation, the dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Senad Bećirović, handed a certificate to prof. Huss, expressing hopes and wishes to welcome her back in the future.
