ELL sophomores' creative stories inventively presented to RPP preschoolers

On December 26, as part of a writing assignment for their English in Use course, second-year students from the Department of English Language and Literature went to the Richmond Park Preschool to read their short children’s stories to a class of kindergarteners.

It was fascinating to see how every single student had a completely different approach and story as well as methods of keeping the children engaged. Students Fatma Laficioglu, Rijad Pekaz, Mario Odak, Hana Škarić, and Uma Hamzić each had an opportunity to make the children laugh, learn something new, and, humorously, make comments such as “you aren’t really crying” and “I like cucumbers, they’re rich in Potassium.” It was an amazing experience both for the orators and the audience!
